We’re hiring a driven Software Engineering Intern to contribute end-to-end to full-stack applications for the Recruiting organization. This role would collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, improving functionality through ongoing user testing and development. The ideal candidate will possess the curiosity to solve difficult problems and the talent to bring solutions to reality. As a key member of our team, this person will take ownership of the designing and delivery of new features, enhancing existing functionality, writing reliable code, and expanding architecture as needed.
Job Description :

Qualification :
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Available for a 12+ week period over the summer and able to work onsite full-time
Experience with a backend language; experience with Python or GoLang is preferred
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with Vue is preferred
Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts; proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
Experience using common design patterns; high standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance

Internship, Security Analyst, Security Intelligence (Winter/Spring 2026)
Security Intelligence Analysts are responsible for the protection of Tesla’s intellectual property, reputation, trade secrets, and confidential information. This role will support proactive and reactive risk management projects, conduct limited technical signal review, and actively address internal and external threats to Tesla’s intellectual property.
Qualification :
Currently pursuing a degree in International Relations, Political Science, Cybersecurity or related field of study with a graduation date between 2026 – 2027
Able to relocate and work on site in Austin, TX
Proficiency in open-source research
Familiarity with Insider Threat/Risk concepts/programs, willing to learn same
Proven track record managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and focusing on critical priorities with minimal supervision
Demonstrated success in cross functional collaboration and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to change focus quickly due to shifting corporate priorities

Job Description :
Create business cases and market & product insights to help inform the Industrial Energy Hardware product roadmap and organizational priorities
Help define and commercialize service offerings into standardized products to ensure successful product launches and enable customer success
Work closely with cross-functional teams across the product, engineering, service, and commercial organizations
Support the education of critical product features for internal teams, customers, and supporting parties
Qualification :
A completed Undergraduate Degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or chemical engineering
Pursuing a Graduate Degree in both technical and commercial fields such as Mechnical Engineering and Engineering Management
The ability to build strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
A passion for developing physical hardware products for use in the renewable energy industry – and critically – accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy
Strong verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in a firm, academic lab, or similar team environment focused on the development of physical hardware products for use in the energy industry
Familiarity with – or the ability to learn – elementary pre-tax cash flow modeling techniques
Technical aptitude to provide product-level guidance in at least one major hardware subsystem area (electrical, thermal, structural, deployment, etc.)
Strong quantitative analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions; proficiency with at least one high-level analytical language (Python, R, Matlab) to gain insights from large data sets is preferred
Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel while effectively engaging cross-functional stakeholders
