Educational Qualification :
Multi-Tasking Staff (General) :
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board
- Possession of a domicile certificate of that State against which the candidate has applied on the closing date of the application i.e. 14.12.2025.
Age limit (As on 14 December 2025) : 18 – 25 Years
Age relaxation :
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & by 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service.
- This relaxation is applicable only to Central Govt. Civilian employees holding civil posts and not applicable to personnel working in PSUs, Autonomous/Statuary bodies, etc.
- The age limit is relaxable up to age of 35 years for UR candidates, 38 years for OBC and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.
- The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as per the Govt. instructions in this regard issued from time to time.
- The age limit is relaxable up to a maximum 5 years to the meritorious sportspersons
Salary Details :
- Level-1 (Rs. 18,000-56,900) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.
Notes :
- Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt. allowances.
- Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays is subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
Selection Process of Intelligence Bureau Jobs :
- The selection would be done on a merit basis, and the vacancies will be allocated to the SIB to which the selected candidates belong.

- The cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam would be UR-30, OBC-28, SC/ST-25 & EWS-30 (all Ex-servicemen & PwBD would be treated in their own category viz., UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS).
- On the basis of their performance & normalisation of marks in Tier-I exam, qualified candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II @ 10 times the number of vacancies, subject to the condition that the candidate should have scored the minimum cut-off in Tier-I.
- The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-II is 20 out of 50
- Final merit list would be prepared on the basis of performance in Tier-I exam, provided the candidate is qualified in Tier-I exam.

- All candidates: Recruitment Processing Charges @ Rs. 550/-
- Male candidates of UR, EWS and OBC categories: Examination Fee (Rs. 100/-) in addition to Recruitment Processing Charges (Rs. 550) i.e. Rs. 650/-
Note: All SC/ST candidates, female candidates, PwBD and those Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of examination fee. However, they will have to pay the Recruitment Processing Charges, i.e. Rs. 550/-
